Dec 1969: Inception of the School with Mrs. Menaka Parthasarathy as Principal and Mrs. Saraswathi Narayanaswamy as Headmistress.
     
Oct 1970: K. Preetha aged 14 months is admitted into the school-The youngest child in school during the year.
 
 
March 1971: Mrs. Beatrice Ingall, Principal of Woodford School for the Deaf, Sussex, England spends a month at school and trains the teachers.
     
June 1972: 1st student P.Sudha is integrated into 2nd Standard in the Mainstream School Vidhyodaya Higher Secondary School, Chennai.
 
June 1974: In-service Teacher Training in Pre-School Deaf started.
 
Oct 1974: Parent Teacher Association of the School is formed.
 
June 1977: Tamil Medium is inaugurated.
 
March 1979: Delegation from Common Wealth Society for the Deaf, UK Consisting of Dr. D.M.C. Dale, Mr. Powell, Mrs. Turner and Dr. Donald Wollman spends time at school. Dr. D.M.C. Dale trains the teachers in LRS Method
     
Feb 1980: “The Srinivasan Parthasarathy Trust”- The management body of the School is constituted and registered as a Charitable Trust.
 
Feb 1980: School has Decennial Celebrations – His Excellency Shri Prabhudas Patwari, The Governor of Tamilnadu Presides. National Seminar on “Education of the Hearing- Impaired” and Exhibition of Teaching Materials” held in connection with the Decennial Celebrations of the School
 
Sept 1982: Prof. Armin Loeve from the University of Heidelberg spends time at School.
     
Jan 1983: Ms. Sonja Reichhart, Post Graduate student at the University of Heidelberg spends a term at school for 'Practice Teaching".
 
Feb 1984: “Breaking the Silence”- handbook for Teachers of the Hearing - Impaired, approved and financed by the National Council for Education Research and Training, New Delhi- published by the School.
 
Feb 1985: National Seminar on Pre-School Education of the Deaf held in connection with the15th Anniversary of the school.
 
Feb 1987: Delegation from Common Wealth Society for the Deaf, UK Consisting of Dr. Donald Wollman, Dr. Nolan, Dr. Ivan Tucker visit and spend time at school.
     
March 1987: School receives grant in aid from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of India.
     
April 1987: 1st student of the school P.Sudha qualifies as B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) in Printing Technology at Anna University Madras.
 
June 1989: The School moves into it’s new premises at Shastri Nagar.
 
Feb 1990: The 20th Anniversary of the School. A National Seminar on “Integration of Deaf Children into the Mainstream through pre-School Training” is conducted.
     
July 1990: The Principal Mrs. Saraswathi Narayanaswamy presents a paper on “Early Language Development in Deaf Children through Informal Inputs”. at the Centenary Celebrations of Alexander Graham Bell Association - International Convention at Washington D.C.-U.S.A.
 
Feb 1991: Delegation from Common Wealth Society for the Deaf, UK Consisting of Dr. Donald Wollman, Dr. Nolan, Dr. Powel visit and spend time at school. They give important inputs to all the teachers.
     
Dec 1993: The school building extended with the help of a Building Grant from the Ministry.
